June 27, 9-11 AM. Large Garden Style Arrangement

$165.00

Summer has blossomed on the farm and we’ve decided it’s time to gather to create a summer tablepiece. Dahlias in bloom, sunflowers, hydrangea, butterfly weed, ammi, cosmos, scabiosa, the first of the Floret zinnias, and so much wildness from the field are the perfect elements for a large garden arrangement. Summer foliages including mountain mint, viburnum, baptisia, physocarpus, and even poke lend movement and light to all the pretty blooms. You can choose bright sunflowers or softer toned blooms depending on how you’re feeling.

Linda will demo a centerpiece in a hurricane vase that allows flowers to spill over casually and will explain the principles of criss cross design that will allow each participant to create a lush arrangement using all the bounty summer provides. Gentle guidance will be offered and help provided when needed but the variety of floral material make this arrangement one all can master. We’ll work at the Homeplace with views of the open pastures and grazing cattle. No prior experience is needed and beginners are welcome. When we’re done creating Linda will style your piece for a photo that you can then share with others. Cost of the workshop includes instruction, all floral materials, vessel, and extra flowers to take home at the end of the evening. Please note that registration is not refundable. See below for more details.
