Growing Spring and Early Summer Flowers Online Growing Class

This is the time of year when so many of us get excited to grow flowers, and now is actually the time to start thinking seriously about starting seeds in trays to plant out  in a month or two.

When Kelly Perry of  Team Flower and Philosophy Flowers asked me to join her in an online class about growing flowers for early season weddings I was both pleased and excited. Love this pic of  Kelly and me at our Happily Ever After Workshop at our farm last Sept. She’s such a delightful designer, teacher, and person. I’m just so glad our paths have crossed and I’m honored to be teamed with her in helping others take the plunge into growing.

Kelly has created a wonderful online community of designers, farmer/florists, and home gardeners who all want to play with flowers in one way or another. For this class, Kelly asked me to choose 24 favorite flowers that I use in weddings in the spring and early summer. From there we created presentations including lots of  step by step how to’s, pictures, notes, spreadsheets, charts etc. all to help folk successfully get into growing flowers just for fun or more. Using flowers for weddings is a theme in the class, but I choose flowers for weddings because they’re my favorites and are the prettiest so don’t let the word wedding throw you.

To see more of what this class is about including an introductory video and registration information  click here.  There is also an introductory price offered for the class.  You don’t need to contact me as everything you need to sign up and begin enjoying the course is in the link. And when you sign up you’ll gain access to the Team Flower Community which is wonderful in itself!

Some of the flowers we feature are sweet peas and snapdragons pictured here on our farm.

I must admit early season flowers are my favorites, perhaps because they’re the first to bloom after a dormant winter. So, take a look and we’ll hope to see lots more flowers blooming around us this season!
