First of all, we want to thank each of you so much who participated in this year’s spring/early summer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)! It was a joy to be able to bring flowers into your homes and offices and use the bounty of the farm. It wouldn’t have been possible without you and we appreciate it very much.
Secondly, we are excited to announce a second CSA! The Late Summer CSA will run for 6 weeks, beginning THIS Saturday August 4, and ending Saturday, September 8. We are limiting our bouquet shares to 20 people as Anna will be starting Emmanuel Christian Seminary soon. The cost will be about $16 a week, totally $100 for the 6-week share. We have lisianthus that will be blooming for the next few weeks, lots of limelight and tardiva hydrangea, zinnias, black eyed Susans, and the dahlias
will continue throughout the season. You can also keep your eye out for other fall bloomers coming soon. Again, our delightful farm intern, Anna McKay, will be managing the CSA details. We’re so pleased to again be partnering with always-fun-to-visit Reclaimed Inspired Goods in Johnson City who will serve as our pick-up point. Bouquets may be picked up Saturdays during business hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Reclaimed or here at the farm. If for some reason, you cannot get your bouquet, you can gift that bouquet to a friend who can pick up in your place. Flower shares are limited so act quickly!
If you are interested in participating, please email Anna at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text her at 315-297-6493 for payment details and to check availability (you’ll be sending check to Anna). Payment is non-refundable and total payment should be received to reserve your 6-week flower share. Since this is such short notice for getting a check in, if you confirm with Anna and your check is in the mail before Saturday August 4, you will be all set.
So, we hope you will join us and support local blooms! And thank you for the many ways you support our little farm adventure!
And here’s Katie’s bridal bouquet from this past Saturday. We’re still doing weddings at least for this summer. More about that later.
So long from me and Roy and our sweet grandsons, Keller and Jackson.
