Summer blooms are in all their glory this time of year, especially our hundreds of dahlias. Because I love making bouquets fit for either a bride’s walk down the aisle or a summer’s table we’ve decided to add an “abundance of summer” workshop Thursday, August 21 at the farm. Our first bouquet will be made all of weeds with just a few lisianthus or dahlias tucked in. After we’ve practiced with weeds, we’ll create a hand-tied bouquet that might be placed in a vase as a centerpiece or carried down the aisle. When bouquets are complete, we’ll gather at the “old farm door” inside Aunt Willie’s for a light summer supper. Then, finally we’ll journey to the front porch and design a flower crown at day’s end. Limit 8 participants. Cost $150
All materials including our home grown farm fresh blooms and careful instruction are provided. No experience is necessary and demos will be presented before each project. We encourage lots of questions as our workshops are all about hands on learning.
