June 21st, Ashley and Luke

Between Ashley ‘s and Meredith’s (see previous post) June 21st weddings, we made 2 brides’ bouquets, 15 maids, 29 bouts, 38 ball jars/shepherd’s hooks, 5 large pieces, and several odds and ends.  Whew – we were glad to to it, but probably won’t try to break those records.

It’s not often we would drive 4 hours to deliver flowers but since Luke is a brother to Anne our first ever bride and since Ashley is sweet as can be we decided we’d give it a try. The venue was a Kentucky horse farm which made it more intriguing but unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of the venue.  Flowers cooperated well as the stored pink peonies and freshly cut coral godetia and sweet peas provided the perfect pallet for Ashely. I didn’t get pictures of the larger table pieces but hope to post more pictures of many weddings this winter when all is grey and I have images from the pros. In the meantime,  here’s a peak at Ashley and Luke’s Lexington wedding.

    • They’ve done pretty well. Do better when they’re stored not touching anything and that’s hard to do. I still get rot on some and have to notice it quickly or they spoil their neighbors :)
