May 10th Petal Party

When I married Roy and moved to his beautiful century old farm one of my first thoughts was “let the party begin!” Seems to me everyone should be able to experience a little about farm life no matter where they happen live. So, Saturday, May 10th we’re hosting a Petal Party designed just to fit that nitch. We’ll play with flowers behind the old chicken coop on old farm tables, wander a bit around the old buildings, and get a little better acquainted over a bowl of strawberry soup and cranberry/walnut salad.

I’m a teacher at heart so while arranging, I’ll be talking about balance in design and will demo several ways to create balance in your arrangements. You’ll make one small arrangement, one ball jar arrangement, and a larger piece in a favorite vase you bring from home. All levels of experience or non-experience welcome. Our day begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends around 1 p.m. Cost is $65 and must be prepaid.

If you’re interested,  click here  to check out more details on the website or call or text 423-367-0361. We have four openings.

So, here are a few pictures of the farm, the folk, and the flowers. Hope to see you in May. But now . . . I’m off to cut lilacs in the snow for Haley’s wedding this weekend!!
